Federal law requires us to tell you how we collect, share and protect your Personal Information, and your rights to opt out of information sharing under certain circumstances. We are committed to protecting that Personal Information.
“Personal Information” is information that identifies a natural person, such as a name, street address, e-mail, social security number, and phone number. Personal Information does not include Non-Personal Information as provided in “Non-Personal Information and Cookies”.
This website is not designed for children. We do not offer information of interest to children, nor do we knowingly collect or solicit Personal Information from children under the age of 13.
We use the Personal Information you provide through this website to assess your credit and your credit application, and approve or decline your credit application. We may use your Personal Information in the normal course of providing our services to you, including credit applications, responding to inquiries from you or from third parties to the extent related to your credit application, and providing technical support.
We collect non-personally identifiable information in the aggregated form that, by itself, does not allow an individual to be identified (“Non-Personal Information”) through the use of General Tracking Information and Click Path Tracking (cookie technology) described below.
Our web server automatically tracks pages visited by our users and collects some user information such as your IP address. Your IP address is a number that is used by computers connected to the Internet to identify your computer so that data (such as the web pages you request) can be sent to you. We aggregate this data with data on the pages visited by other users to track overall visitor traffic patterns so that we can improve our website by making it more responsive to the needs and preferences of our users. This information does not identify you personally.
We use technologies — such as cookies, beacons, tags, and scripts — to analyze trends, administer the website, track users’ movements around the website, and gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies on an individual as well as an aggregated basis.
We gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data. We may combine this automatically generated log information with Personal Information and Non-Personal Information we collect in order to improve the services we offer through our website and to help improve website functionality.
We use personal data for fraud prevention purposes and adhere to data protection requirements. To reduce the possibility of unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place a number of physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to help protect the information we collect through the website. In addition, we use standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates to secure all pages used for collecting and transmitting Personal Information. However, due to the open communication nature of the Internet, no system can be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your Personal Information.
You may request that we cease sharing your Personal Information with unaffiliated third party lenders by notifying us of your desire to opt-out of this service. In addition, you may choose to limit the type of information or requests received from us. All such requests must be sent to: firstname.lastname@example.org. We will have up to 30 days to process your request. You may also update your Personal Information at any time through the registration portal.
In addition to the foregoing, if you are a California resident, you may request that we disclose to you how your Personal Information was applied to each of the Personal Information Categories during the preceding 12 months. You may request disclosure of this information twice during any 12 month period by contacting email@example.com or by 800.981.9032 calling. We will provide you with the Personal Information Categories as applicable to your Personal Information within 45 days of any verifiable request, provided, that we reserve the right to extend this period for an additional 45 days if necessary to verify your information and the veracity of your request. We will notify you of any such extension prior to the end of the initial 45 day period. The information will be provided to you at no cost either by mail or electronically
In addition to your right to opt-out from having your Personal Information shared with third parties, you may also request that we delete from our database any Personal Information that we have collected about you. We will not, however, be obligated to comply with your deletion request if our retention of your Personal Information is necessary for us to comply with any of the following:
(a) provide you with a good or service you have requested, or to complete a particular transaction in process for which your Personal Information was collected, or to otherwise perform a contract entered into between us;
(b) detect a security incident, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity; or prosecute those responsible for that activity;
(c) debug to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality;
(d) exercise free speech, ensure the right of another customer or consumer to exercise his or her right of free speech, or exercise another right provided for by law;
(e) comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act;
(f) engage in public or peer-reviewed scientific, historical, or statistical research in the public interest that adheres to all other applicable ethics and privacy laws, whereby our deletion of your Personal Information is likely to render impossible or seriously impair the achievement of such research, as long as you have provided your consent;
(g) necessary for our internal business operations that are reasonably aligned with your expectations and our business relationship;
(h) comply with a legal obligation; or
(i) use your Personal Information internally, in a lawful manner that is compatible with the context in which you have provided us with the Personal Information.
